With 12 hours to kill, I exchanged some money into Chinese yuan, and Josh and I grabbed a taxi into town. It was great to do a little sightseeing in a new city, but quickly our focus turned to getting some traditional style Sichuan food. We found a nice hotpot restaurant, but the menu was all in Chinese, and without a Chinese dictionary on my phone, we opted to seek the help of those working there. Sichuan province is known for it's spicy food, and it may have been a mistake for me to insist that we enjoyed spice. The resulting combination of food left my mouth on fire, and my lips tingling in that unique hotpot kind of way!
